Day 7: Staying the Course

Scripture:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Relational discipleship is deeply rewarding—but it’s also hard. People change slowly. Ministry can feel thankless. Progress isn’t always visible. That’s why we need perseverance.

This is where widespread prayer becomes vital. We aren’t the ones who change hearts—God is. But we get to participate in what He’s doing, and that requires faithfulness.

Stay consistent. Keep showing up. Keep loving when it’s inconvenient. Keep opening the Bible even when the room is silent. Keep praying when you don’t see movement.

Healthy discipleship environments are sustained by a shared vision. When your group knows why you meet, why you love, why you keep going—it makes the mission worth it.

Build in space for encouragement, for celebration, for revisiting the “why.” Discipleship is slow work, but it’s holy work. Don’t quit. God isn’t finished yet.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Where do you feel weary in your discipleship relationships?

  2. Who could you ask to pray with you regularly for strength and vision?

  3. What does it look like to stay faithful, even when it’s not exciting?
