Day 6: Training for Multiplication

Scripture:
“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” – 2 Timothy 2:2 (ESV)

Discipleship that stops with us is incomplete. Jesus’ model wasn’t addition—it was multiplication. He poured into a few so they could pour into others.

Training others to disciple doesn’t mean creating experts—it means equipping everyday believers to invest in others. It’s passing the torch of faith, not clinging to the spotlight.

Multiplication happens when we empower people to lead with the Word, love through prayer, and serve in community. We model, we invite, we train, and we release.

And yes, it can feel risky. What if they’re not ready? What if they do it differently than we would? But that’s how the Kingdom grows—not by control, but by trust.

When we disciple with multiplication in mind, we’re thinking generationally. We’re not just discipling someone—we’re discipling their future disciples.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Who could you begin training to disciple others?

  2. Are you holding on to leadership or sharing it?

  3. What would it look like to measure success by multiplication, not attendance?
