City Life

City Life actively pursues 11-19 year olds who are walking through pivotal and story-shaping moments in urban communities. These young people can often feel overlooked, and it’s our passion to make them feel seen, heard, and valued. Our aim is to be a steady voice and presence in their lives, intentionally postured as a humble and authentic mentors.

Our teams aspire to see deep change in an urban neighborhoods. As a relational, holistic, community based ministry, City Life teams raise up indigenous leaders from the young people living in urban communities. This is how change happens!

The work is not easy, but the young people we walk alongside are amazing and worthy of love. As leaders, we help young people realize their worth as we actively listen, learn from them, and help them uncover God’s story of hope in their lives.

is one of Northeast PA Youth For Christ's newest ministry site and we are thrilled by the potential for what God could do through this ministry. West Scranton is the home of the NEPA Youth For Christ office building with a large youth ministry room in the front to host regular meetings right in the community of the students we are reaching. Scranton and West Scanton high schools combine as part of the Scranton School District to form by far the largest population of teens in any school district in Lackawanna County. The West Scranton City Life program meets every Thursday at 7 pm at the Campus Life Building in West Scranton (1613 Jackson Street Scranton, PA 18504).
